Symbio provides a web-based and mobile service (“Subscription Service”) designed to assist users who have Symbio accounts (“Customers”) with sharing their information, content, materials, files, and folders (together, their “Content”) and analyzing how their Content is viewed and/or received by their customers, prospective customers, and other third parties that are not registered users of the Subscription Service (“Viewers”).

Your privacy is important to us. It is Symbio's policy to respect your privacy and comply with any applicable law and regulation regarding any personal information we may collect about you, including across our website, https://symbiohq.com, the Symbio web application, any websites we own and operate, or websites created by Customers that are supported by Symbio’s web application.

This Privacy Policy governs your access to the Symbio Subscription Service, regardless of how you access it, and explains what data we collect when you use the Site and/or the Subscription Service, why we collect the data, how it is used, and your rights and choices. This policy applies to personal data and other information collected by us from or about: (i) visitors to, or users of, our Site and Subscription Service, (ii) prospective clients, (iii) current clients, (iv) job applicants.

By using our Site or the Service you consent to the collection, transfer, processing, storage, disclosure and other uses described in this Privacy Policy, you agree to abide by these Terms of Service and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with these Terms of Service, you are prohibited from using or accessing this website or using any other services provided by Symbio.

While providing our Subscription Service, we collect information related to Viewers on behalf of our Customers. Our use of information on behalf of our Customers is governed by our contract with the applicable Customer and the Customer’s own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or privacy practices of Customers or other third parties.

In the event our site contains links to third-party sites and services, please be aware that those sites and services have their own privacy policies. After following a link to any third-party content, you should read their posted privacy policy information about how they collect and use personal information. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any of your activities after you leave our site.



Information We Collect

Information we collect falls into one of two categories: “voluntarily provided” information and “automatically collected” information.

Transaction Data

Transaction data refers to data that accumulates over the normal course of operation on our platform. This may include transaction records, stored files, Viewer profiles, analytics data and other metrics, as well as other types of information, created or generated, as Viewers interact with our services.

We only collect and use your personal information when we have a legitimate reason for doing so. In which instance, we only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide our services to you.

Viewer Information We Process on Behalf of Customers

Our Subscription Service allows our Customers to create and share marketing, sales and customer service content. When Customers use the Subscription Service, they may collect Personal Data such as first and last name, email address, physical address, phone number, IP address, geolocation data based on your  IP, or other information about you. Recipient interaction tracking means if you were directly invited to content, such as by an email from a Customer, your email address may be associated with the interaction tracking.

Customers may also collect and manage Personal Data when using our Subscription Service including requesting visitors to submit information into a form. Symbio processes such data as a processor under the direction of our Customers. Our Customers, as data controllers, are responsible for complying with any regulations or laws that require providing notice, disclosure, and/or obtaining consent prior to collecting their Viewers’ Personal Data using the Subscription Service.

We do not control the content of our Customers' webpages or the types of Personal Data that our Customers may choose to collect or manage using the Subscription Service. We store our Customers' information on our service providers' servers but process it as a processor under our Customers’ instructions and in accordance with this Privacy Policy, which prohibit us from using the information except as necessary to provide and improve the Subscription Service and as required by law.

Our Customers control and are responsible for correcting, deleting or updating the information they process using the Subscription Service and for complying with any regulations or laws that require providing notice, disclosure, and/or obtaining consent prior to transferring the Personal Data to Symbio for processing purposes.

Information We Receive from Third Parties

We may also receive Personal Data (such as your email address) through other Customers, for example, if they have tried to share something with you or tried to refer Symbio to you. We may supplement the information that we collected from Customers and Viewers (such as an email address) with additional information obtained from publicly available and third-party databases or services that provide information about business people and companies (including an individual’s name, job title, business contact information, and company information), and display this information to our Customers as a part of our Services.

Security of Your Personal Information

When we collect and process personal information, and while we retain this information, we will protect it within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.

Although we will do our best to protect the personal information you provide to us, we advise that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and no one can guarantee absolute data security.

You are responsible for selecting any password and its overall security strength, ensuring the security of your own information within the bounds of our services.

How Long We Keep Your Personal Information
